Override xbmc's sleep timer
#1
Somewhat of a weird dilemma on my hands. My xbmc system is set to sleep after 5 mins of inactivity (as set through the xbmc interface) and I'd like to keep it that way.

I've noticed that the only time that I can override this if I play a file and click the pause button. Then and only then does the system not sleep.

However, on the same system I sometimes like to start an asterix server and use it to make outgoing calls, but of course the timer kicks in and puts the system to sleep killing the asterix server (if I'm not playing anything).

Is there some way, via the command line (ie xbmc-send), to suspend the sleep timer at will and then enable it without going through the GUI?

Thanks for the help
