Choppy Playback

Sad
I have been running Dharma for a while now and adding movies as i go. And after i added the last 4 movies bringing my total to 60. I started getting choppy playback and audio sometimes not being in sync. But this only happens in XBMC i play the same movies in Media Player Classic with no issues. Are there any adjustment that i need to make.Sad

I'm not sure whether a debug log will help in this case, but for the small amount of effort required it's worth posting one. Enable debug logging from System settings, System, Debugging, and restart XBMC then attempt to play one of the problem videos. After a minute or so stop the video and close XBMC.

Open the debug log by pressing Windows-R and in the Run dialog type:

"%appdata%\xbmc\xbmc.log"

(including the quotes). Click OK and the log should open in Notepad. Copy and paste the log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the link it gives you here.

1st thing that I saw ",Starting XBMC, Platform: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3".

Xbmc is best with Windows 7 with DXVA2 enabled (you have NVIDIA GeForce 6100).

It's true that WinXP doesn't support hardware acceleration (DXVA2) but that should matter playing DVD res videos as your CPU should easily be able to cope. I don't think the NVIDIA 6100 supports DXVA2 anyway so upgrading to Win7 wouldn't make any difference.

I had a quick look at your log, but it's a big log and shows you playing several videos. Can you give me some guide as to where to look e.g. which film gave you problems. Looking at the first video, Season of the Witch, I noticed you pressing the right arrow to step forward quite a lot. Is this relevant?
