Edit: This appears to happen on all 720p Quicktime MOV files. Added more info below.
Just wanted to report a reproducible problem playing a Quicktime (MOV) 720p movie PressPausePlay (http://presspauseplay.com - Free download)
- 720p MOV trailers from Yahoo / Apple exhibit same behavior
ATV2: iOS 4.3 / 8F455 (2557)
xbmc: [Nightly] Built on Oct 13 2011 (Git:20111013-21de7b8)
...........Installed via: apt-get (stable), then wget
...........Connected to network / share (AFP) via Ethernet -> Airport Express -> Airport Extreme -> Ethernet -> iMac (Using Airport Express as AppleTV2 wifi rate was 65mb or so, on Airport Extreme it's 200-300)

Steps to recreate:
Launch XBMC
"Movies" (Using remote MySQL in advancedsettings.xml)
Select PressPlayPause using select button on Apple Remote
Movie plays for 30 seconds or so, and then buffers, and then plays for 15 seconds or so and buffers, and on and on.
Notes:
- Adding the movie to iTunes and playing on the AppleTV2 using the "Home Sharing" feature worked flawlessly - which leads me to believe it's some kind of overhead introduced by xbmc playing MOV files and not a network issue.
- All of my other 720p media (mostly mkv) plays in xbmc fine.
- AC3 / DTS capable receiver is attached and settings are enabled in xbmc via HDMI cable (no toslink).
- This was also occurring in the Oct 9 2011 build I was running before, but updated to newest nightly (Oct 13 2011) to confirm still occurring.
