As the title indicates, will I be able to run 1080P smoothly on this an old Dell OptiPlex 745 with Pentium 4 3,2 GHz if I upgrade it with an Nvidia GT430 graphicscard?
I will run standard XBMC fed from a homeserver, SVT Play and TV4play (swedish webTV). Im not interested in 3D or hte HD audio formats with this setup.
Or should I go for a C2D processor?

If it's Pentium 4 old it would have an agp slot though wouldn't it? I don't think you can get an AGP 430, you might be able to get a PCI one, failing that I saw there was a PCI 520 floating about, just make sure its PCI not PCI-e
