I am considering buying a ATV2 for streaming audio to my AV receiver. Using standard iOS there is a limitation in that all audio is resampled to 48kHz.

Does XMBC have this limitation or is it a hardware restriction? Specifically I am interested in 44.1/16 on optical or HDMI.
