Moved you in the right forum (ATV2 is iOS based ...)

Please double check that Settings > Video > File > 'extract thumbnails and video information' is deactivated.

If its still crashing please provide syslog, xbmc.log and crashreporter log as stated in the first link in my signature.

Thx for the complete report.

@davilla ... this is a crash in smb lib. I'll symbolicate the log when i'm home (have the dsym already i think Smile ). But WTF is this in syslog:

Code:
492.Oct 27 00:39:15 Apple-TV ReportCrash[754]: FAILED: dyld LOAD of <CSSymbolOwner: 0x1cddb7d0> 49E8D02F-7A94-CEBD-1BF9-8EB247C49123 /Applications/XBMC.frappliance/Frameworks/lib/python2.6/lib-dynload/fcntl.so

I don't know if it's crazy or not but, my impression is that if I leave XBMC idle for more than 10 minutes or so, when I start playing a video there's 90% chances it will crash.

I've tried disable the screensaver (changed it to 60 minutes) to see if this still happened and, it still does Sad

That's an interesting one. all dylibs failing to load. I also notice lots of com.firecore frapps loading.

my guess is your jb is borked.

What should I do then? What's the best way to start over?

Rejailbreak with seas0npass (be sure to use iOS version 4.3 for getting an untethered JB)
