I'm sorry if this question is already posted here, but I couldn't find it.
I have a 2008 mac mini upgraded with a core2duo @2ghz. Today I installed a crystal HD it seems to work but it's performance is actually worse than without.
every 5 seconds the movie stutters (1080p 10-12GB, mkv x264). I'm using the latest nightly of XBMC. does this have any thing to do with 10.6 so should I downgrade or is something else amiss?

Seems that the problem disappeared all by it self, I switched a view times between software and hardware decoding and than it just worked
Is it just me or does it look slightly better than when software rendering? colors seem to be better en a bit sharper
