Deleting and rebuilding music library
#1
So I have been trying to tidy up a few messy files in my Music collection.
I generally have it pretty tidy and well structured as such:-
Album Artist/Album/Track#-Trackname
But as is always the way a few have slipped through where I had different spelling or capitals etc..
So I am working through cleaning all that up.
When I am done I need to rescan my library to allow for the new locations of some files. Now comes the problem.
First I would like to completely delete the library. Whats the best way to do this.
Second is all the ancillary files. i.e nfo and jpgs. As I have previously exported the library (in the hope of having it be able to scan quickly) these are all in the respective folders but will now have some incorrect details.
Should I just delete them all and let XBMC work through it all again?
Or does XBMC use a specific naming structure for those files so that I can save them especially the jpgs. As I have a heap of extras that may have downloaded with the mp3's or added from media monkey in the past I would like to tidy all them up as well and get rid of any extras.
Hope this rambling makes some sense. Appreciate any help or suggestions.
