XBMC for iOS not launching properly
#1
Question
I just downloaded XBMC (v 10.0-9) for iOS through the XBMC source in Cydia (on my iPod Touch 2G 4.2.1 MC model, just in case that helps). I then used MobileTerminal to complete all of the instructions posted on the wiki page to set up the application. However, whenever I click on the icon, it launches, but then immediately "crashes" back to the springboard. I put "crashes" in quotations because apparently my device does not consider this a crash: there is no crash log for XBMC in the folder where all of my crash logs are stored. The XBMC Debug log doesn't appear in its specified directory, either, so I have no debug log to post. All I can give you is the syslog from today:

I've tried running MobileSubstrate Safe Mode, Re-springing, rebooting, reinstalling, everything. What do I need to do to fix this? Please let me know if there is any more information I can provide.

second gen iPod touch doesn't have enough power (or more importantly, does not support OpenGLES 2.0, which is a real deal breaker) for XBMC. I was heart broken too at first, since when I first heard about the port I only had a second gen iPod touch. Thems the breaks.

3rd gen and up should be fine (except for 3rd gen 8GB iPod touch, which is really a second gen. the 16 and 32 GB units are fine)
