I've seen some other devices (e.g. tablets) that are shipped without all codecs and you just need to pay extra and download some firmware to have access to those codecs.
Would that be possible to proceed in a similar way with the Raspberry Pi or can the codecs only be enabled/disabled during manufacturing ?
