Buffering and framedrops during dvd playback (atv2)
#1
When playing back a dvd file from a video ts folder with .ifo and .vob files some dvds playback with constant buffering and/or framedrops. Here's the log of an example. Is there anything that can be done about it or is it, because the atv2 simply lacks the power to playback these files and will never be able to properly play these. Am I doing something wrong? Some setting maybe? All of my movies are straight copies from dvds. My NAS is connected through a wire using smb to the atv2.

I'm using build xbmc-20111103-4ac6808-master-atv2.deb

Cheers for the hard work that's been done on the atv2 and thanks in advance for any advice.

You could try to switch off deinterlacing. (Hold ok button and change the video option). If that doesn't help, I guess you have to go back to a build where it works. For me that was the 20111017 build.
Hope this helps

Turning off deinterlacing definitely improved playback. No more buffering, framedrops still occur every now and then though. Thanks anyway
