Apple remote misbehaves after wake from sleep
#1
Folks,
Just setup xbmc on a mini.
Have no problems navigating the menus (confluence skin) using the apple remote in a freshly started xbmc session (i.e. right after the box has booted up).
I noticed though that every time the mac comes out of sleep, while navigating the xbmc menu using the down button on the apple remote, the volume down function for the mac gets triggered (everytime I click on the down button).
Now since my digital out on the mac is connected to my receiver, a small little display (showing that the volume is muted) shows up everytime I click on the down button. Any suggestions

Thanks

Never mind. Looks like this may be a 10.7.2 bug Sad

Does that mean we need to wait for a new update for it to be fixed? Why isn't there a systems preference menu to manage the remote? (what buttons trigger what functions).

You could try candelair, which is an alternative driver for apple remote.

Thanks Brainfrz. Candelair does fix this.
Though I noticed that the remote feels a tad less responsive with this driver installed. I could be wrong. Will play with this a bit more and give an update in a few days
