Hi
Can anyone tell me a good remote control for using xbmc on windows, just want to be able to navigate through xbmc but not too bothered about being able to type anything for searching etc.
Please excuse me if it's a dumb question.

Thankyou for the help

http://wiki.xbmc.org/?title=Remote_Control_Reviews gives a list of remotes that have been tested with XBMC. The eHome remotes are generally preferred.

Depending on your budget, I suggest the harmony. There's a great guide on programming your harmony to use XBMC.

I use a Harmony, but note that you still need to buy an IR receiver, and the Harmony just emulates whatever handset normally goes with the receiver. So setting up the Harmony is just like setting up the remote it's emulating.

Note that Harmony remotes have an offensively slow response with eHome receivers. On the expensive models you can speed up the response by changing the inter-key delay setting. With the low end Harmony remotes, e.g. the 300i, you can't change the setting and this makes eHome receivers near to unusable.
