ATV2 suddenly slow when decoding SD xvid files
#1
Hi Guys,

Long time happy user of XMBC on ATV2 (well, about as long as one can expect with such a young product), but first time poster. So first off all kudos to all the hard working people for actually getting it to run on the platform!

I updated to the latest nightly yesterday (so 7th of november, just to be clear) and since then all my SD content started playing unbearably slow (dropping frames every few seconds, audio stuttering, ...). Before I start posting logs & things like that, I'd thought I'd just ask if this is a known problem? It concerns xvid SD content.

Thanks,

Danny!

I can give you a definite maybe on that.
Try switching your audio from hdmi to optical/spdif even if you are using hdmi.

Then post logs etc like a good question poster should.

Here are my logs: http://pastebin.com/TwAhFAYp

My audio was set to Analog, which I switched to Optical and that didn't change anything.

[edit] Just realized I'm on 10.0-9, not the latest nightly (been going back and forth lately). Upgraded to latest nightly and it appears to have been resolved
