I am neither defending Team xbmc or Tiben in this matter - purely playing Devil's Advocate. I neither need or want madVR as I personally see no benefit from its implementation - but others obviously do.
Ok, but honestly, how iOS could be judged relevant enough to drop AE when it needs jailbreak to work at all... it's beyond me. You meant dropped from Eden, I hope, btw.

AE isn't "complete" on any platform, so it doesn't matter if it was working on iOS or not.

It could have been working at same capacity on iOS as it does on other systems and still wouldn't have made it into Eden.
It's just not ready yet and gnif was busy with real life, that's why it didn't make it.

Not a direct solution for XBMC users, but for those interested in MadVR and its benefits, why not try the new Alpha build of MediaBrowser Theatre (MBT). Both LAV and MadVR are integrated, giving best of both worlds.
