I notice that when playing video files the frame rate is not constant. Most of the time it is a little too slow, then once every second or so it speeds up for a few frames to get back in sync with the audio. This is very annoying. Audio is fine. Also, there is nothing wrong with the files, they play perfectly in players like Totem and Vlc.

I have tried different alternatives in System>Video>Playback, but nothing helps. My guess is that XBMC does not like my hardware, but why should it be any different than any normal video player?
