Ivy Bridge - will it be worth waiting?

Well,
The die is cast, the wallet is severely damaged

I looked at the roadmaps and itchy clicking finger got the better of me

I thought about the A8-3850 option and was all decided on it but Amazon/the whole of the UK is seemingly out of them. DOH

So I've ended up with :-

Antec Fusion Case :- Good review on SPCR
Noctua 120mm case fan x2 :- Good review on SPCR
Antec TP550 PSU :- Good review on Anandtech and others

Intel 2105 CPU (HD3000 graphics) :- Pretty pokey but also not a toaster, especially if underclocked
Asrock Z68M Mobo with CIR remote :- Mostly good reviews and a recent good one here for the CIR IIRC
Scythe Shuriken cooler :- Good review on SPCR

Kingston SSD From current ZBox
Corsair DDR3 2x2GB left over from a "should have read the 2x2Gb not 1x4GB" moment when ordering NAS bits

Also, in a massive spate of hedge betting
Zotac passive GT430 :- From Eskro's list. Nuff said......
Sapphire passive HD6570 :- Well recommended by Blu......

So if the HD3000 graphics don't pan out I have a fallback position with either ATI or NVidia discrete (more like a charge at the enemy with a two bazookas, a mini gun and Chuck Norris position I suppose Laugh)

Initially going to try Openelec Intel build
If that works I'll try to leave it alone......
When that fails I'll try the 430 under Openelec or maybe Dharma Live
Which will inevitably lead to 430 vs 6570 testing under Windows

But
The Tape deck will have to be removed from the audio rack to make room Eek
No More Rick Astley or Now That's What I Call Music vol 1 for me
Hopefully it will be worth the sacrifice.....................

If all you are going to do is play regular 1080P Blu-ray source material, then the Intel video works fine from what I have seen.
