OK. Somehow I downloaded a "larger installation package"... which has rectified the dependency issue, and ptvl actually started. Do I need to create a file with channels and stuff in it or can I do that directly through ptvl...?

I think I'm done for the day...gonna watch some tv....lol

So, there was a "dumb ass" guide located there. Thanks, I obviously needed it. When I launch ptvl after auto tuning, I don't get a guide. .and there was a message that briefly went buy at the bottom of the screen.. do I have to " donate " to use it...ptvl?
