Good Afternoon all,

On IMDB there is a feature where you can create a list of films.
I, and I am sure many people here also have lots of physical DVDs that aren't included in my xbmc.

Would it be possible to (after creating the list on IMDB) of displaying the list of films along with info etc on XBMC

It think this would be really useful.

For example you could have I list for all the movies you have stored in the loft.

What do you guys think and could somebody make it happen.

It can be done. From the add-ons I've seen that do this with plugins they create an empty strm file and then scrape against that. They do this automatically by scraping the site.

A possibly easier and quicker way that I use is to create a folder called DVD Collection add it as a movie source and just add a renamed text file eg. 2010.avi then scrape.

You should be able to spot these in your library if you show file sizes. To avoid a playback error you could create a small clip that says "On the shelf" or "In the Loft" or "Lent to the sister-in-law, I'm not getting that back without starting a whole "thing"" and use accordingly. YMMV.
