hi, i've an ion2 htpc and have try with OpenELECT, works really fine, all videos in 1080p and MKV plays smothly, perfect. But i need a full linux system. Now i've oneiric and XBMC from ppa, and videos not play smothly. Play but not in good quality. Please need help, info:

My guess is that your playback stutters because the refresh rate is not adjusted. (see the thread mentioned above)
Or your nvidia drivers are corrupted, can happen when updating the system. Especially xserver updates. Try installing them again.
