for videos with hard-coded subs, the new pm3 seekbar and somewhat the mplayer osd obscure the subtitles fairly often.

considering how we can already align where we want the video osd and mplayer subtitles in video calibration i think it wise to allow the user to align the seekbar and probably the mplayer osd as well...

i think the mplayer osd might be the same as the mplayer subtitles though but i would like to be able to move the seekbar to either the top left or the top right...

since that bar kinda belongs where the subs are, i suggest that:
while the bar shows, subtitles do not. when bar times out, subs return

yes but that doesnt address hard subs... also i dont think there is a great reason why a seek bar and subtitles should be mutually exclusive.
