I just cant seem to figure this one Out. Im trying to control XBMC 10.1 installed on a windows PC using My Acer android Tablet and XBMC Remote app. I have Tried 3 different apps and cant seem to connect.

Both Android Tablet and PC are on same network

--In XBMC I have the following settings in network--

Share UPNP (Checked)
Allow Controll UPNP (Checked)
Allow Control HTTP (Checked)
Port 80
Username XBMC
No Password
Web Interface Default
Allow Programs on this system Control (checked)
Allow Programs on other systems Control (checked)

---In XBMC Remote Apps--
Server (I put down XBMC) --not sure if thats right
Ip address (My Ip the 192.XXX.X.X)
Port 80 (same as i set in xbmc)
Login XBMC

Im lost please Help

Not sure if this will help you, but try using port 8080.


XBMC REMOTE SETUP:
In the XMBC Remote app that I have, when you open the app, click settings and then click add host.

Name it whatever....."Livingroom"
Host or IP Address.....IP address of the computer you are using as the HTPC
HTTP API Port..... 8080
Username.....Name you put into the XBMC setup page
Password.....Come on, do I have to explain this one?

Leave everything else alone

XBMC SETUP:
System/Settings
Network
Allow control of XBMC via HTTP....turn this on
Port.....8080
Username.....Same as XBMC Remote
Password......Come on man
Web Interface......I use wTouch

When in doubt on this page, turn everything on if it doesn't work the first time.

Yeah, I had same problem. Its 8080
