FileZilla Question
#1
I was on my PC a few hours ago and was able to connect to my Apple TV to add plugins/addons. I used FlashFXP to access it

I'm on my laptop now using filezilla and it wont let me access it.

My Apple TV is running wirelessly at the moment. But will be hardwired tomorrow.

My PC is hardwired and my laptop is wireless. Would this be effecting the FTP access

I did change the settings to SFTP but wont connect.. this is the error.

Code:
Response:    fzSftp started
Command:    open "root@***.***.*.*" 22
Command:    Pass: ******
Error:    Authentication failed.
Error:    Critical error
Error:    Could not connect to server

Check to make sure your IP on the ATV2 didn't change or maybe a firewall problem.

didn't change.. might be a firewall.. the laptop is win7 and my pc is XP

let me try disabling it.

no that didn't work lol

I remember seeing a setup guide for filezilla on xbmc somewhere but can't find it again.

your settings are fine, i use filezilla too
in site manager:
host = the IP of the ATV2
port = [blank] (or 22)
Protocol: SFTP SSH File Transfer Protocol
User: root
Password: alpine (if you haven't changed it)

if it couldn't get to the IP you'd be getting
Error: Connection timed out
Error: Could not connect to server

double check the password, and the other thing i can think of is to check if maybe filezilla has stored a bad ssh key for that ip and let it recreate it...

if you're on windows: guide here for how to remove in windows
if you're on linux/mac OS: delete it from sshhostkeys in ~/.putty
