[Release] Snagfilms (Video) Plugin
#1
Ho ho ho! Here' my christmas present for all! (Well, at least for whom this might work Big Grin)

http://www.mediafire.com/?n3d2282ye7s6u4h

This is pretty basic. Let's you choose what you want to watch from Snagfilms and play it. Worked on my windows and atv2 installs.

I started out with the PBS and JTV codes. So lot of resources are pretty much copy, paste. Hope the original authors don't mind me using their resources.

And I don't think I would be actively maintaining this. So if anyone else have better ideas, please feel free to modify and distribute.

P.S: The code might need some cleaning up to do. Since the code was not started from scratch, it still contains a lot of code from the original code that may not be needed.

it does what it says .. so good jobSmile
maybe while cleaning the code you can set the output window to "movies" so we can utilise the full set of view-modes (like in the Video Library).

I didn't knew how to do that. But now that I got my answer from the development forum, I will work on it.

Here's the updated version:

On Windows, I had no problems installing from zip.
On atv2, I had to delete the old zip file from packages folder and restart xbmc in order to be able to install the new one.

Enjoy!

just put a revision number in the filename

I checked it out - you're almost there! Although the views are accessible - they are not populated with the item data properly yet. Take for example "Fanart" view in the default skin Confluence. In the Video Library, when going over an item, it shows in the upper part of the screen the "plot" data, along with other available details. Currently the items in snagfilms don't show that but they DO have the information if you pull up the "Movie information" screen - so it's just a matter of configuration I believe. Why not check ghizzu's Mini-X addon (I saw he gave you the advice about the 'movie' property and I had exactly his approach in mind when I wrote that post earlier) and/or ask him for tips
