XMBC Crashes When Activate Scrapper
#1
Hi,

I have just JB ATV2 4.4.4 using untethered Sn0wbreeze and uploaded XMBC via SSH and I uploaded the latest nightly updates (18/12/11)
It all works fine from default settings and I am connected to a Synology NAS for my movies and TV shows. However, when I activate the scrappers for the movies setting the content (holding down the menu button) XMBC crashes and returns to the AppleTV screen.
When I relaunch XMBC I can sometimes navigate through the menu system but it crashes as soon as I go into the video menu. Other times it crashes immediately.
I have reset the video database and this clears up the issue - is a known problem - do I have to just do without the scrapper info?

Many thanks

Jay

Cloud be an issue with the new jailbreak method used. Need logs: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=XBM...c_FAQ#logs

Try to get all three logs if you can. http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...og_for_iOS tells you how to get xbmc.log, but you should be able to apply the same instructions for the other two logs.

thats what I thought however I went through the JB process several times and after the last time it remains in a JB state even after powering off! I don't have to go through the JB process again!

Hi

I have put the debug logs on the following URL:

http://pastebin.com/8jVhak2j
http://pastebin.com/ea52rfdL = an old log file I presume before I cleared the db.

Hopefully you can make some sense out of these!

Thanks

JAson

this is the resetcounter.plist file

having trouble uploading the syslog but will continue to try

syslog is too large for pastebin so it wont accept it.... let me know if you still need it.

Many thanks

resetcounter.plist? Never heard of that one. Doesn't seem to have any usefull information...

Please follow the first link in my sig and post crashreporter and syslog (allways needed on crashes)...

You can cut syslog down. Just be sure that the point (date, time - 1h) where it crashs is completly covered in it.

resetcounter is just an information when the ATV2 was manually reseted (eg either when pressing menu and play for more then 6sec to force a reboot or when using the reset function of a harmony remote)

It has to be there - you looked up the wrong folder:

/var/mobile/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/AppleTV_2011-12-19-014108_Apple-TV.plist
