What protocol do you use to access the media on your NAS?

I had the same issue that XBMC would crash when activating the scraper when accessing the media through upnp protocol on my Synology.
I changed it to FTP and it works fine now.

Its crashing in uPNP ... so what K-o-k-o said might workaround the crash.

uhmm I changed the protocol to FTP and I also updated XMBC to the last nightly and now the scrappers work but the system crashes or freezes within movie. I have even tried adding the uPNP protocol back in but it still happens. I am not too sure if there has been a change within XMBC over the last night or so but it is now unusable.
I am thinking of running the whole jailbreak process again and reinstalling everything to start clean.
I am also puzzled as to why I can run it untethered when it supposedly can only run in tethered mode - are you sure there is only a tethered jailbreak out there at the moment ? I used Sn0wbreeze.
