I have no idea atm but it looks like that tgit produces no ouput when using log in recent versions.
Always read the XBMC online-manual, FAQ and search the forum before posting.

I already had trouble getting it to build. I'm not a skilled programmer Wink

done. Hopefully it won't break stuff with older tortoise git installations.

Try executing extract_git_rev.bat from a command prompt and tells us what it outputs.

WiSo for old TortoiseGit the --no-pager helped remove a warning, but it still produces the correct output without the option so nothing's broken AFAIK.

@CrystalP: Ok thanks. Newer tgit/git doesn't seem to support this option anymore. At least I couldn't find it in the help file. But note that I had to add the --summary option. Otherwise no output was generated.

The scripts doesn't find your git/tgit. The directory is not in the PATH or you need to restart to make the whole system see the new PATH.
You'll know the config is correct when you can execute git/tgit from a dos command prompt.

I can start git from c:\user\martijn\ where the normally cmd prompt window starts and tried in different locations
