Edit: [LIVE]

Hello there!

I was trying to install my PS3 BD Remote with this tutorial
http://assortednewsandtips.blogspot.com/...ng-to.html

Unfortunately, the file ps3bdremote.tar.gz from h00s.net can't be downloaded because the site seems to be dead. Does anyone have a mirror for that?

Thanks so much!

Use this guide: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW..._BD_Remote

If you have Oneiric Ubuntu 11.10 installed, then it is not necesarry to reinstall bluez. (BTW latest Bluez is 4,94). Use only the pairings script from Kitlaan

After that you need to connect the remote:

dbus-send --system --dest=org.bluez --print-reply \
/org/bluez/.../hci0/dev_XX_XX_XX_XX_XX_XX org.bluez.Input (from twinaxis website).

Configure the input.file to rearrange the buttons (look in the same xbmc guide). After that it should work.

Thanks, but I really don't understand what to do there^^ I am not a Linux user, I don't get anything that has to do with Linux. I'm managed to install XBMC Live and everything except the remote just worked OOTB.

For example, in your linked guide, it says:
Open System->Preferences->Bluetooth Manager.

I wouldn't know how to do that ...

Maybe it is easier to install windows and xbmc on top of it. Because you need not to be afraid cli if you want to pair your ps3 device.

Well, I have everything up and running so far Wink As long as I only have to type something that is explained to me step by step, I'm good ^^

I actually only need that one file and I'm done .. :/
