XBMC on ATV1 not reading my mac
#1
hey all,

going to try and post this with a better format and see if i can get some help.

my mac version 10.6.8 and the xbmc i just installed on my appleTV 1st gen via the usbatv hack don't seem to be communicating AS THEY SHOULD.

they are communicating just not in a way that will enable me to add the proper file directories as sources to xbmc in order to stream the content from my mac to the atv.

all of the file sharing settings are set up correctly on the mac and i have created 2 diff xbmc logs that should show the problem.

the first is when i try to add a source using zeroconf (which is the only way i can even get my computer to show up).

this next link is when i try to add a source using windows network SMB:

would really appreciate any help to get this fixed.
cheers.

I've been scratching my head about this since your other thread and I'm not sure. At this point it's beyond my own knowledge, but maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

ugh that is not what i wanted to hear Sad

was really hoping it was going to be some easy solution as i was so excited to be able to use this program.

for some reason now my atv isn't even working great, when i try to stream movies its super choppy and will just randomly freeze the video while audio keeps playing.

its pretty unusable atm so was hoping i could just use xbmc.

What brand/model is your router? Could be something there.
