Hello,

I get the "Operation not Permitted" when trying to access a Network Drive from my ATV2 in XBMC.

Setup
ATV2 Jailbroken with Seasonpass
The network drive is on an Apple Airport router. It is a 2tb WD My Book.
I also have a home PC (Windows 7).
The workgroup for all is called "Home"

The media player that came with the Firecore software (ATVFLASH) works fine. It can see the Network drive on the Airport router and the Network drive setup on the PC.

XBMC can also see the PC (and access the files), but it can not get passed selecting the "Airport" (from the list within the Home workgroup). When I select "airport", this is when I get the error "operation not permited".

To be clear, from any other PC, the drive, on the Airport, is accessible without any issues. Also no issues when using media player on the ATV2.

I also noticed the the "Weather section" also does not work (probably separate issues).

Please keep in mind, that I am new to all thing apple and XBMC. So I am not sure if there is something that I missed. Don't assume I setup everything correctly, albeit I am not technically ignorant either.

If Weather isn't working then chances are you are using an outdated build. Update to the latest nightly build: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=HOW...htly_build

I tried everything that were on those pages. I even removed XBMC and installed as suggested on those pages.

Good news is that the Weather works great now in XBMC. Unfortunately, I still get the same error as before when trying to access the network drive.


Any other ideas?

Don't bother looking at the log. Somehow it is working now. I have no idea what really changed.

I can now go to the Zeroconf option, see the router and te attached hard drive and all the content.
