Cannot get movie sets to work
#1
I am trying to set up a movie set for my 3D movies. I've added the set tag manually, removed the films from the library and rescanned they just still appear as single movies. I also tried the movie set creator app which gave me the following nfo
Code:
<movie>
  <title>The Polar Express</title>
  <set>3D Movies</set>
  <sorttitle>2010</sorttitle>
</movie>
http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/5255

They still appear as single movies in my library and not as described in the wiki here http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Movie_Sets

I've updated to the eden beta and its exactly the same. Is there something I am missing or doing wrong?

If you are using these inside a smartplaylist the will appear as a single movie whatever you do.

Why place them in a set while when you can use smartplaylists?
There are different kind of rules for easy filtering certain movies.
For example is have '3D' in the folder name you can user 'filter on path contains 3D' or 'file contains 3D'

never heard of a smart playlist, will look it up could be a possible solution. The 3D movies are not named as 3D though.

Still doesn't explain why the movie sets are not working though. Will test further with my Star Wars films

sorted. didn't work seem to work when nfo was named movie.nfo, change to <filename>.nfo and it worked. I possibly had both in some movies and it was not liking it

Glad you sorted it.

movie.nfo should have worked when you had 'use foldernames for look-up' on in scraper settings.
Try looking at smartplaylists when you can for maybe other purposes Smile
