Latest is XBMCSetup-20111210-f1ae0b6-master.exe and Beta 1 was released on 24th if I'm not mistaken.

So which one is considered the "latest"?

You answered yourself.

24th is later than 10th so Beta1

But there were no nightly builds between 10th and 24th which made me think that they haven't found major bugs in latest nightly (v20111210) and so announced it as Beta1

OK.. let's upgrade to Beta1 and see if there are any differences.

The "latest" nightly isn't the latest. There are lot of changes after 10th.
