Before I attempt to install the Eden Beta I was curious if that would wipe out my existing install, requiring me to setup everything from scratch again or will Eden see my existing custom layout and just upgrade the main .EXE and supporting files?

i updated from dharma to eden beta and it works without problems.
all items in database and other configuaration are the same as before.
however: you can backup your profile folder

C:\Users\[Your Login Name]\AppData\Roaming\XBMC

Thanks!. I did backup that folder. Just to be safe, lets say I have issues and need to return back to 10.1. Do I uninstall EDEN and then install 10.1 and copy my Profile folder back over?

P.S. I even made a System Restore point FWIW.

I'm not trying to hijack this thread but I must has done something wrong then. I moved my 10.1 userdata to the Eden Beta and none of my libraries showed up in music or videos. I could see them as files so the sourcing was correct but could not get back into the library view modes. I ended up just renaming the 10.1 databases to the Eden database names and they all appeared as they should but I'm sure that's not the way to do it.
