very minor suggestion, but handy for quickly playing a random selection from a genre, would be to remember the "shuffle" state when in library view in my music between reboots.
also, on a related idea, perhaps a "shuffle songs" and shuffle albums" would be a handy feature to have in there (ala ipod).

that shuffle button was added as a compromise as a way to allow the ad hoc playlist (which is created when you "play" a folder), to be shuffled. since the ad hoc playlist is completely inaccessible (its an internal contruct), we do not save the state between reboot.
honestly, i dont like the fact that its there at all. if you enable shuffle in the library window, and then go back to files window, an folder played with "autoplay next item" enabled will be shuffled as well. also, with the addition of using "play" in files, maybe it should be removed now as it could get confusing.
if you want to retain your shuffle state, then use a real playlist. to use a real playlist, "enqueue" a folder, dont "play" it.

what do you mean by imported playlists? if you mean copying playlists button from files to nav view, then no. i am planning on creating a playlists window which would be accessible from the switch view scroller, but i havent started on it as yet.
