AVCHD 1080i 60fps - Plays but dies after jump/skip
#1
I am having a problem playing AVCHD 1080i 60fps videos in Eden beta (these are home videos shot with a Canon camcorder).

I have never been able to play these files using XBMC in the past. I've always used Windows Media Player as an external player. However, with Eden Beta, these files are playing smoothly with DXVA enabled.

The problem occurs when I skip/jump forward/backwards. When I do this, my fps drop from 60 to 9 while the audio continues to play normally. The video appears to be moving in slow motion.

I have tried this on two different PCs and get the same behavior.

Could anyone tell me if this is a known issue? I've searched and found some threads about 1080i60 videos not playing (before Eden). But I don't see anything about a problem isolated to skipping/jumping.

Is this an XBMC issue? Do I need more GPU? Something else?

I can upload a debug log and/or sample video tomorrow if necessary.
