Hi, just playing around with getting the house kitted out for XMBC.
So I installed the Eden beta on my iPad 1 and added a network share. My problem is I can't turn off the subtitles which are embedded in the MKV file.
I bring up the subtitles menu and it just says "None". I try pressing that, the menu disappears, but there is no change.

Just tried it on my iPhone, which is basically the same setup as the iPad (complete with the Touched skin). I was able to turn off subs on the MKV files I tested. Are you sure the subs were not burned in the video track (hard subs)?

i think you where in the wrong options dialog ... the subtitles dialog is for the subtitles addon imho ... for deactivating the subs you have to go into the video preferences durng playback and turn them off there...

OK, I see it now. It is just confusing for a new user because seeming there is a seperate sub-titles option on the OSD, I did not look under Audio - Setttings.
