A6-3500 tripleCORE is the way to go!!
packs enough punch for you all ur needs!!!
nothing will lag, everything will fly!!

here's a video made by voip-ninja a user here,
http://goo.gl/BIa6y
he's showing u peformance of his A4-3400 dualCORE.

u can judge a little bit on the performance but note that
you'll have a stronger APU as the A6-3500 is a tripleCORE
with a passmark of ~3058!

[OS] Windows Home Premium 64bit $70.00
[BLUERAY] LG UH12LS28K $60.00
[FAN] Scythe SY1225SL12L 800RPM 40.17CFM 10.70dBA $14.00
[SSD] Patriot Torqx-2 2.5" SATAII 32GB Trim Read:270MB/s Write:230MB/s $68.00
[WIFI] TP-LINK TL-WN951N 300Mbps WPA2 Band:2.4GHz $33.00

[XBMC] XBMC Free
HTPC GRAND TOTAL: $593.00
Extra Keyboard $40.00

Now if I decided to switch out the case with this one: http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.ph...93&area=en
This one needs a PS/2 is that the same as a standard ATX?...would the scythe fan fit or would I have to use a stock fan? It looks like I would need a 70mm fan instead. I havent decided inbetween the 2 cases. Both have their pros and cons.

EDIT: :p that video of XBMC runs better than my laptop at least! Looks really fast, so I think the A6 3core will do great!

would the only thing I would need to change is the PSU? This one needs a PS/2 or 150mm(oh wait is that the same as a standard ATX?)...would the scythe fan fit or would I have to use a stock fan? It looks like I would need a 70mm fan instead. I havent decided inbetween the 2 cases. Both have their pros and cons.

If you still looking for a case, this one should be a perfect fit for A6-3500- SilverStone SG06B Aluminum/SECC SFX 300 W with 80 PLUS certification Power Supply Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case (Black). Silverstone included all the top quality PSU and case fan in it too. This Panasonic UJ240 6x Blu-ray Burner will be perfect for the case. 300W is more than enough and plenty of spare a very low power A6-3500. This Scythe SCKZT-1000 should fit in it. You'll be very happy with A6-3500 for HTPC! Smile
>Alienware X51- do it all HTPC
>Simplify XBMC configurations
>HOW-TO Bitstreaming using XBMC
I refused to watch movie without bitstreaming HD audio!

I think I have decided on this one: http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=293&area
It has a good amount of drives space, and has 2 great hotswappable drives which is a real plus. The SG06 coming with prepsu is nice but I would rather have the extra harddrive slots and hotswappables of the of GD06 Thanks for the input!

Exactly what I would get! Big Grin

But why not the Scythe SCSK-1100 100mmHuh
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6835185097

Even a review says "Confirming that this does in fact fit in the sug05" the SG06 is the same size so no problem.

It would fit.... I own it and love it!

Well on the http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=293&area specification chart, it says: Limitation of CPU cooler
70mm (remove ODD if you want install up to 120mm) and I want to keep mine. A 100mm may fit but Huh

I'll go for the Silverstone SG06 for next build too. I'll stick with 40mm height CPU cooler to save space and more room for air to circulate. The Scythe SCKZT-1000 couple with case fan should be able to keep the 65w A6-3500 cool with ease.

I see what you mean.... but if the SCSK-1100 fits fine I would go with it... it's easier to install. No need for screws and stuff under the motherboard. Oh and 100mm fan.... less noise.

I actually preferred the screw down version over a snap on CPU cooler. I had terrible time with Silverstone snap on CPU cooler (SILVERSTONE NT07-775) If you check dBA spec, it is nearly identical. The 80mm fan is quieter at (8.2 dBA) at 800rpm compare to (10.5 dBA) at 650rpm of the 100mm fan. Smile
