Any A* setups in a LC19 case ?
#1
Hi,

Been using XBMC for a loooooong time (> 5 years) on my XBOX, but since I recently purchased a HDTV i need to retire my XBOX...

I want to use the htpc to:
* use sabnzbd, couchpotato and the like
* play 3D
* run complex/heavy XBMC skins.

I'm really in love with the LC19 case, but there aren't a lot of configs to be found on the internet. As space is a concern, I don't want to buy HW that simply doesn't fit.

Any of the members here want to share their LC19 config ?

Thx !

Hi Eskro,

off course I've read your extensive guide, thanks for that !
Put I don't recall reading anything about LC19 setups there ?

well basically, all you'D need is a Low Profile CPU cooler and thats it.
choose a build from my GUIDE, and get yourself a new CPU cooler.

I don't really know how to choose the cpu cooler.
What's the max size ?

That's why I was wondering for other setups

i'm also quite interested in this case, it looks really nice. let us know how you go if you do decide to get it. i'm looking for something that will be able to do full HD audio as well.

i'm guessing a stock cooler would be to big?

I have a Zotac IONITX with a cheap SSD (no ODD) in one of these cases. When I got it, it had a case fan attached to the back. I moved it to the right side near the IONITX heat sink, blowing out of the case. Added a couple pieces of thick paper/cardboard to channel all outgoing air past the CPU heatsink.

Runs cool and it is quiet. XBMC Live Dharma

well, if your stock cooler is not more then 40mm, it might fit.

but to be safe, i'd use the THERMALTKE meORB

Be very careful in what you buy. The Zotac IONITX comes with a CPU heatsink that is about as low profile as you can get. It includes a very thin fan that you can install on top of the heatsink. Even that won't fit in the LC19 case. The fan makes it too tall.
