I've recently upgraded to Eden (on 4.3) and since then I'm encountering a massive performance issue which I haven't had before:

• Loading an image of roughly 5MB takes about 9 seconds
  
• Videos (*.ts) can't be viewed as they keep stuttering all the time
  

Menus work fine, MP3s too, no delays here. Also there are no issues playing videos from original ATV2 (iTunes Store, Youtube, etc.). So it doesn't appear to be a network issue (wired).

Anything else I can try?

There have been lots of improvements with the way XBMC handles skins. The majority of improvements since Dharma have been aimed at increasing performance. Everything has been streamlined. You are obviously not benefiting from said changes. I'm afraid we are going to need a debug log to figure out what is going on.

As you can see from the xbmc.log there's 8 resp. 12 seconds between the user request and the completed rendering of an image.
