ATV2. XBMC crash immediately after launching XBMC
#1
Hi!
This is weird. It works fine for about a year or so and today I accidentally restart appletv. (not this is the first time I did it though:-))
After restart I launched XBMC and and aplletv crashed immediately. Restarting Lowtide, restarting the box didn't help.
I tried to uninstall /install XBMC (even I believe it already has the latest version) - installation failed all the time at the same spot where the packages were downloading into appletv. Then appletv restarted and was able to complete installation , however it wasn't the full installation but XBMC appeared on the main menu.
Launching XBMC again fail immediately as the first time. Here is the crash report syslogs xbmc logs:

thanks

Your database is malformed. Deleting it / them and allowing XBMC to rebuild would fix it,
Though I believe that there is a way to fix the db directly (something to do with version IIRC as error indicates).

Recently I faced the same issue. As jabba_29 said, deleting the db fixed it. SFTP to your ATV2 and go to userdata/database do find the dbs.
First time I deleted all DBs and then had to rescan all my library. Later, I realized deleting only the apps (or addons, or programs, or plugins, don't remember now) would work. Maybe some addon is breaking the db, but I'm pretty lazy to try to find out which one is the bad guy.
