Hi, I've had a request to have multiple proxy presettings in the livestreams add-on.

I'm not sure how to go about. My first thought was to change xbmc's network setting to the presets but this doesn't seem doable from an add-on, or is it I guess one could build the proxy in urllib then pipe to the player, seems there should be an easier way. Is it possible to pass the proxy info in the url to the player 'url | proxy info' ?

Any ideas?

There's not an official way to change settings from within an addon. It's POSSIBLE by writting to the xml file directly, but Memphiz has said that an addon using that wouldn't be accepted into the official repo. He also said that official methods aren't likely to be added, so that looks like your only option for using xbmc's settings.

Thanks for checking. That's what I expected and don't really like the idea either.
