There are a few examples out there to map "Hold Menu" and "Hold Center" keys on the ATV2 remote (ex.: here).

However, I can't find a reference to mapping "hold left" (or right, up, down) and "hold play/pause". Can this be done? Would there technical limitations as to why this isn't possible?

I don't think (correct me if i'm wrong) that play/pause hold can be used.
