First of all, i don't have the time to make this, but i'm posting this idea as a possible python project for anyone who would like to learn how to addon code, or someone looking for something to write for xbmc.
My idea is:
To make an addon that populates your library with videos, specifically suited for pseudo-channels ie. Sci-Fi gets you some seasons of sci-fi shows. This could either be done with TV Time or PseudoTV.
How this could be done in the addon code:
1.Package the addon with some pre-made lists of suitable programs for suitable channels.
2.Search for the films/tvshows on various sites and scrape for DDL links to them across the web.
3.Then give the user a chance to review which of the scraped links to download.
4.Then send them all to jDownloader through the xbmc jDownloader addon (this is really easy).
It could also be expanded to torrents and usenet if you care to.
Would have to be confined to Standard Def (no 720p and certainly no 1080p) due to hard disk limitations / download time.
