I just got a new HTPC with pretty good specs for watching movies. 1080p seems to run fine without DXVA enabled on Eden. Since it is working fine without the hardware acceleration should I just leave it disabled or is it still better to use DXVA if my GPU supports it?
My HTPC has a 3.1Ghz i3, nVidia 440 and 8GB of RAM. Thanks.

I would, gfx hardware acceleration is always a sought after feature.. leaves CPU cycles for other things. Other the other hand, you may find that your system and XBMC software does a better job at decoding and extrapolating resolutions. It's an option either way, and it will take a while before you can say with confidence one is better than the other.

Enable DXVA and see if it works. If so, leave it enabled.
