I've been looking through several forums to find a solution for my problem. Hopefully somebody can help. I've a configuration with an Imac with shared harddisks with especially TV-series. I want to play them on my Apple TV. Therefore i installed XBMC which recognises my harddisk(s) over the network.

So far so good.

But, when i'm willing to start watching a specific movie-file the Apple TV reboots. It doesn't look like a crash, simply a reboot. I've been trying to fix this with cleaning up the cache, without success.

Somebody else encountered this problem and has a solution for this ?

The Apple TV is jailbreaked (offcourse) with the latest Seasonpass (4.4).

Meanwhile i found out the solution.

I restarted from scratch. I re-jailbreaked it. And did a ssh-session with the following below (which installs the xbmc with the latest eden, version 1). Everything works fine now.

apt-get install wget

wget -O- http://apt.awkwardtv.org/awkwardtv.pub | apt-key add -

echo "deb http://apt.awkwardtv.org/ stable main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/awkwardtv.list

echo "deb http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv2 ./" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list

apt-get update

apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2

reboot
