PicoPSU Power Kits
#61
The 90W picoPSU + 90W AC adapter kit is enough for the A6-PACK. Somewhere around here I posted my power measurements but now I can't find it. It was something like 30-40W for watching 1080p video and around 80W at full load (artifically tested using Prime95 large FFTs).

Allllright!! Wink
I would not have the exact A6-PACK, it would be more like an FM2A6-PACK

Antec ISK 300-65
pico90W
ASRock FM2A75M-ITX
AMD A6-5400K
OCZ Vertex 4 64GB
Scythe Big Shuriken 2 REV.B
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 8GB 2X4GB PC3-14900 DDR3-1866 1.5V

Oh yeah. We don't know what the power consumption of the A6-5400K looks like yet so I cannot say for sure if 90W is right. It *should* be (I can't imagine it suddenly goes from using 30-40W to play video to 150W or something) just fine unless something super screwy is going on.

Oh well, i'll be the guiny pig on it then. Just would need to know how to measure those things. I'll start a post soon with my build as it's coming to life pretty soon!

I use the Kill-a-Watt meter. It's available at my local big box hardware store (Lowes).

Thanks guys so much! Smile
It is nearly the same price. Since you are adding BD-ROM, I would stick to 120w Pico.....A6-5400K can cause spike and BD-ROM can cause spike....120w might be the safest pick for a powerful A6-5400K+BD-ROM......

If you want to monitor power consumption, this meter is very cheap- P3 Kill A Watt Electricity Load Meter and Monitor....

Is it normal it's not 7.5V the 120W, its' 10A.. and does not have a P4 connector

The 120W picoPSUs don't have a P4 connector. You need to buy a molex-to-P4 adapter and if you intend to run a slim ODD you need a molex splitter as well.
