[AppleTV2] Seemingly random crashes (rare)
#1
My ATV2 works great!

Thanks XBMC team, you are awesome.

I have one issue with my current setup:

Eden 11.0
ATV2 4.4.4 (tethered JB)

Streaming movies from my Macbook air (SSD Drives), APF-protocol, Airport Express WIFI.

Generally, watching movies or shows works great (some better than others but reading the FAQs leads me to believe ATV just isn't that good at playing back all video formats...).

However there is one issue that is happening at some (to me seemingly random times). The ATV2 just crashes and I'm back at the main screen (ATV2, not XBMC).

I can always restart the movie (however I cannot "continue at xx:xx") since XBMC doesn't know that I quit because of the crash I assume. Then I have to skip forward (really annoying to skip 30 seconds at a time when ATV2 crashes 10 minutes from the end in LoTR).

I checked the CrashReporter logs and the issue seems to vary (to me at least). However this is the most commonly looking one and also, the latest.

CR

XBMC.log (big, since the crash is rare it takes a while to reproduce)
http://pastebin.com/tqfHBLg0

syslog (paste bin would not allow the whole thing, so I only took lines from today)

If you have any idea how I can fix this, it would be really nice. I tried all the norma troubleshooting ideas in the FAQ but it didn't do the trick.
Any tip on how to fix this is greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
Emanuel

PS. How do you jump faster / to a specific time in a movie so I don't have to skip 30s at a time?

DS.

Done!

Since the crash is rare I had to wait for it to happen again after enabling debugging. Hence no xbmc.log before.

I cannot help with your crash but you should read this and install the Joystick.AppleRemote.xml as mentioned to 'enable' BigStepForward and BigStepBack (which means 10minute skips if not other definied in advancedsettings.xml) by pressing up or down to allow faster (big steps) skipping through a movie.
