Would it be possible to run XBMC Eden from a USB ran Ubuntu? I dont have a hard drive in my nettop, and would rather be using eden than whatever is on Openelec at this time (or live for that matter)

would this be a viable solution?

Shouldn't be a problem so long as your hardware can boot from USB.

Though I would add that the openelec betas are running the eden beta.
