I can't seem to get XBMC to use my Bose speakers as output anywhere...?

Your operating system is responsible for that (might be a good idea to post which one you're using).

You'd think so, but everything on my PC is using he speakers except XBMC, and while they are an option under settings in XBMC, they are not active there. I'm using win 7 64 bit Pro.
