Does anyone know if this can even work? I have been trying for 3 days now to get MythTV to work as an add on in XBMC nothing works. Then I tried to configure it on my mac with mythtv frontend and backend and again failed. It's driving me nuts. All the other add ons in XBMC seem to just work after installation. Do I need to install it on a computer to get it to work as an add on? I'm not using a linux sys or anything fancy just AppleTV XBMC and the MythTV video add on. Have a Macbook Pro computer running OSX 10.6.8. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I already answered in the other thread you started
MythTV is a client/server program, you can't just run the client on your ATV2 you need a MythTV Server connected to Sat/FTA/Cable
You need mythtv server installed not sure if there is a mac version there is windows and linux
